Thanks for chiming in. I'd really like to know if there is anything I could do as a civilian to weight the proposed plan more in favor of the squid. I want to testify! Is there a new squid managemant plan drawn up every year? Yes, the ecosystem is complex but isn't it obvious to all marine biologists that there is too much of a take going on to sustain a healthy balanced vibrant food chain as well as the Japanese? What is so complicated about that basic fact? Does anybody with any credibility ever dispute that there is too much take and not enough give? What can we poor squid huggers do to protect the slimy little objects of our affection?
