I have heard that water spouts are a lot less dangerous than tornadoes and hurricanes, but even so, how much damage do you think they cause? Would they rip up a yacht or just run right over it, because I don't want to be on a boat with a guy who wants to ride right threw it to see what would happen, dangerous or not, because I probably wouldn't live to tell anyone. To tell you the truth, I've never seen one before, but it would be interesting to know and helpful if I end up in the situation I described, because I know its possible because I fish off the Gulf of Mexico plenty, were there is a LOT of warm water.
