Sounds like you only got to spend 4 1/2 hrs at Catalina. What is the big hurry in getting back ? I saw they didn't have a charter the next day. Most boats do 4 dives , maybe 3 , never 2.
The big cost for the Captian is the fuel going and comming, once at the Island why not stay another hour and let the divers get in some dives ?
My friend said maybe Queer Eye For The Straight Guy was on at 6 pm Sat. (just after we got back) and maybe that was the big hurry. I told Him no I think its only on during the week days !!!
