Having sailed over this part of the coast for many years, I am wondering why there isn't an artificial reef system there. Its out of the shippping lanes and is basically a large sand flat at 60 to 90 feet. Not necesssarily deep enough to sink a battleship, but could be a good place for sinking smaller vessels or large 'waste' concrete slabs to create a dive site and help the fisheries. Anyone have any thoughts / info?
