Why is it that you feel a dive shop owner should feel obligated to put up some sort of statment about what he stands for. Perhaps everyone on the board should then. What I saw was a guy get attacked for something he didn't have anything to do with. The guy doesn't need to prove himself to me, he did nothing wrong therefore there should be no need to defend himself. If you are concerned you should take it upon yourself to go meet this person and then report back to the board.
Sorry if I am a little aggressive about this but honestly people this is like calling a guy a liar with zero proff that he ever lied about anything.
