My theory is that the iron in the shipwrecks is a trace element needed for growth of the hydroids and sponges that the nudis eat. The reason the nudis are there is that their food source is plentiful. Somewhere in the south Pacific they were experimenting with using iron to fertilize coral reef growth.

Do the pinks/greens interbreed? The ab looked like a green, but the depth was 75 feet and you usually only find greens shallow. I'm sad to report that this one is dead. I found its empty shell last weekend.
