Kyle, before Sonny Bono died he was in the middle of a big plan to rehabilitate the Salton Sea. I have heard recently that the the county is working with biologists to try solving the problems inherent with the water. Two options being considered are desalination and aeration. The county has to consider whether the money spent rehabilitating the Salton Sea is worth it because if their hard work doesnt spawn another vacation mecca like it was in the 60's and 70's (which is their intent) then thats a lot taxpayer's money down the toilet. I personally would not dive in that stink hole but hey, to each his own right?
