Hey Dennis, It sounds like a fun trip. I consider San Francisco to be a small architectural museum with a number of choice pieces. Under the circumstances, your best bet is probably to go to Monterey for a boat dive. Look at Bay Area Diving for some useful links. It's a bit cold there. You will be wearing a full wetsuit and weightbelt. Then after diving, check out Monterey for the afternoon. It's a nice town with lots of interesting shops near the wharf. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is worth seeing. Then go to Pacific Grove for the sunset. From there, go back to Santa Cruz on the other side of Monterey Bay and stop at the Catalyst for a pint or two. Stay the night and drive back to San Francisco along the coast in the morning. There are detailed descriptions of Monterey and Santa Cruz diving on my web site. If it sounds to cold, come down to the LA area.
Enjoy the diving, seahunt
