I had a great time Sunday morning checking out the awesome anemone encrustation and sea hare orgy going on at the Redondo Pier Pilings at Topaz ... right up until we were exiting the water and finding out that LA Beaches & Harbors was closing down our entry/exit point at Veterans Park due to a raw sewage spill around Sapphire. Think I'll steer clear of that area for a bit ... provided I live ... but someone mentioned to me that there were similar deteriorated pier pilings from an old Hermosa Pier. If you have any information as to whether that is correct, and if so, the location of the pilings, would you please post it?
