Don Mueller got his bug limit. Cathy almost got her limit. I did not get my limit, but on one dive, I think I got more than Allen Parker in his entire diving career! ;-)
I was using small 65 cubic foot steel tanks. My second dive stopped at 80 minutes when Don banged on a tank as part of his manual diver recall system, so we would get back to Dive 'N Surf by 9 a.m. We all got Dive 'N Surf T-Shirts, a couple of sizes larger than we are (that was all that was left).
The tanks seemed to get heavier each year. The combined ages of the three of us is starting to approach a couple centuries, and our combined years of diving experience is approaching a century. Wow!
On the second dive, I may have seen a 6 foot long Mako shark off Palos Verdes. He/she swam within about 5 feet of me. This shark appears to be a resident to one PV area. Don said he would bring down a camera to capture proof of this curious baby shark diving companion.
