1st of all, i apologize for perhaps coming across as a b***h about this, but it has been bugging the hell out of me for a long time now, and i really would feel better if i posted this message. = : )

2nd of all, i do not mean to insult anyone in anyway; i do not mean to come across as a "know-it-all", i just really feel the need to correct the use of language when it comes to the erroneous use of the past tense of "dive".

i thank you for indulging me.

the following is correct usage:

"i dived the yukon wreck today."

"i dove the yukon wreck today."

"i have dived the yukon wreck before." <----[[past participle]]

the following is incorrect:

"i have dove the yukon wreck before."

you can confirm this at the following websites (though i have to admit my 'oxford american dictionary' seems to be in disagreement, but i'm not sure if it's simply an oversight on their part or...?...):

*sigh* i feel better now. = : D
