Thank you to the Crew of the Peace

I want to say a great big "Thank you" to the outstanding job
the crew of the Peace did last weekend:
Eric, Fidel, Bob, and Brayton, and Debi and the cook who's name, but not whose
wit, I can't remember. It was a rough trip from Sat. evening on. And though
the crew (and I!) would've preferred to found a warm bar or cozy place to ride
out the storm, they accomodated all diving requests. So Sea Divers could do
the night dive on Sat. night as well as four dives on Sunday, all was after
it got very rough. Okay, so maybe I'm not as hard core or committed as some
of my fellow SeaDivers or maybe the
contrast of diving in Cozumel in 80 degree to Northern Channel Islands (low
50s) was a bit much. Eric warned us to batten down. At one point, I went flying
out of my upper bunk, so went upstairs to sit in the galley, and in the next
big wave, I was launched again. If Alan hadn't been behind me, I would've ended
up on my head!

But the crew persevered, and stood out in the rain and cold and rough for hours!
It was much warmer to dive, than to be on deck, particularly when it turned
to hail, and we were dodging hail rocks while getting ready for the next dive!
Fidel told us there was one trip where they had to de-ice the deck, but this
one was up there for. But the crew was fabulous! When I apologized for having
one help me in the weather, he said, you don't have to thank me for doing my
job. I thought they did much more than their job. They did everything they could
to make our trip, which in my book, was high in adventure, as comfortable as
possible. Thanks again!

And no, it wasn't just like Cozumel...
