sorry you had such bad experiences.. my dives there were 4 of my best dives ever...the waves have usually been fairly calm on my dives there..
Bch Diver- sounds like you had a similar experience to my 3rd dive there, except I didn't get smashed into any rocks.. which cove did you exit into to, was it a tiny cove just west of the point, or the cove on the other side of the point? how did you get back to the parking lot? I assume, since you entered from the cove, it was a low tide?
SeaHunt - I'm glad you made it out ok. I dove the canyon on Sunday for the 1st dive, I only went to 90ft, but it went from 60 to 90 pretty fast, I could imagine 180ft wasn't very far away...
