I do not believe in air-integrated computers, since all dive computers are prone to failure. Having an old-fashioned pressure gauge for your air supply can't be beat.
Of the computers available today I prefer the following.
For 1 mix (including Nitrox) recreational diving: the Oceanic Veo 200 console
Very easy to use and it has a somewhat liberal profile.

For 2 mix/deco diving:
The Dive-Rite Dou or the Tusa IQ-700. They are a bit more conservative than the Oceanics, but work nicely for deco diving. The Dive-Rite and Tusa computers are identical, however the dive-rtie only comes in a wrist mount, and the TUSA comes in a console.

Both of my choices above have user replaceable batteries.

There are also many other good computers, but these are the ones I have chosen for myself, and recommended to friends.

Please ignore Doug as he is part of a vanishing obsessive religious cult that eschews the use of dive computers.
