Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with a dive quide. If I may suggest, on your next few dives use one of the many reputable dive boats. Search out one that caters to beginners, simply ask when you call em. I have found diving from a boat a whole lot easier to do particularly for beginners. No waves, no worries about stolen gear, no sand, I guess I'm getting old. When you first begin to dive it's important to have easy, fun, comfortable dives in a relaxed atmoshere. Believe me its worth the extra cost. Charge the beaches later when you've had some good dives and experiences. Just don't quit because of this nitwit.
