I don't even own a car over here (on Catalina)... of course I wouldn't advocate that over in LA LA Land (not realistic).

Any energy policy that does not incorporate greater conservation and fuel efficiency, as well as alternate technologies, is terribly short-sighted. It is not incorporating the overall effects of energy production such as drilling and mining, air and water pollution, etc.

And as I said, I'm a "kelp hugger" and proud of it.
