This has been a very interesting discussion up to this point to say the least. I read something very consistent in all you have stated so far that leads me to ask a couple of questions.
Have you ever been on a local dive trip before where you were offered the option of getting off because there was a chance the intended destination was not going to happen?
Which dive boats have you worked as a dive master on here locally? How many times in the past 10 months?
If SC gave you a refund or adjustment cost for the trip at the end of the day, would you have still brought this event to our attention in the fashion you have?
