To completely get off topic -

Your eye is roughly 4MP (I had lunch with a researcher today who is working on implanting electrode arrays into a "dead" retina and stimulating it with a camera. She tossed out the 4MP figure. She also mentioned that the part of your eye that you read with is equivalent in field of view to your thumbnail at about 10 inches. Another cool thing is they're already trying the camera experiment with a 16 pixel array. With practice, blind people can start to tell the difference between a cup and a saucer with just 16 pixels! The really amazing stuff is how our brain takes the jumble of data that we present it with and make sense of it all!).
