i could no longer be associated with people that were so utterly selfish that they wouldnot only deny the need for reserves but work to prevent them! i have yet to hear ONE argument against the reserves that wasn't based entirely on self-interest.
Anyone who is working for more reserves is OK in my book! i just finished my 101st trip to San Nicolas Island, if you would like to hear about the life in the shallows at that island, i would be happy to tell you what's going on there. As a base-line reference it doesn't fit perfectly as nic is a cold water environment, but it does serve to show the potential of a defacto reserve, one where recreational fishermen have virtually no impact.
