BETWEEN dives! You are warm and dry. You don't get chilled. It makes all the difference in the WORLD. I agree that the thicker undergarment is way better. I used one in Puget Sound that was really thick, and was much more comfortable. I love diving dry. I miss the freedom and flexibility of wetsuits, tho. But as cold as I get..I wasn't diving in SoCal in the best months and was missing out.
