Perhaps you should read the report BEFORE posting something that has no basis in fact, only emotion.

Think of the things that lobster eat, and then think of the effects of their prey on kelp forests. Maybe using a little logic will help you understand that there is basis to the statements made in the report.

The fact that El Ninos kill kelp is true of course. Whether these are naturally occuring events, or human accelerated ones, is a question I can't answer myself. However, the pressure from El Nino events lasts a year or two while the pressure of bug hunters is continuous.

I'm not suggesting bug hunting should be banned. However, I AM suggesting that people who post such irrational responses stop and think about the ecology of the situation first.
