Radons and Farallons are nice boats, and both would be on my short
list if I were in the market for a bigger boat, as would the
Boston Whaler Challenger, but neither Radon nor Farallon makes a
boat as small as my 17' whaler.

The ride of whalers varies a great deal based hull design. In
general, the newer whalers ride better. The Outrages ride better
than the Dauntlesses ride better than the Montauk. But with the
better ride often comes lower gas mileage. It's all a trade off.

And I don't think Radons and Farallons have the true level floatation
of the whalers.
