I forgot about the USDA. As for your other point, sorry, don't buy it. The AOP and it's staff have a professional responsibility to the animals under their care. This isn't an "oops, I killed my kid's goldfish" moment. Believe me, I feel for the keepers. I volunteered there for three years. They're lovely people and they honestly care about what they're doing, but somebody f*(ked up big time. The keepers evidently DID violate protocol. Wether this was willful or not, or just the result of poor training, is anybody's guess at this point.
