You talk about self-righteousness, peanut galleries and military like diving, et. al., but yet ignore the obvious few things repeatedly:

1) We are NOT wasting our time telling you how to dive. Get this through your thick skulls. WE DON'T CARE HOW YOU DIVE!!!!!!! However, we recognize the cause and effect between how you dive, and the damage that you do to our sport. Sitting on a reef getting yourself into a tripod position, may make you feel good about yourself and the pictures you take, but it RUINS the environment that I, and my little one, may someday want to visit.

If you are going to advocate ideas that most have long since moved on from like ankle weights, and then post pictures of you destroying the environment, please don't act shocked that others point out that there are safer and more efficient ways to do things.

Please stop whinning about miliary type talk when all we are simply doing is saying that you are destroying the reef and we are using your own photo's to make that point. You won't listen to our words, you won't take our advise, maybe, just maybe, you'll look at the your very own photo's that you posted for everyone to comment on, and recognize that perhaps you don't have the handle on things that you think you do.

BTW, you don't need to be a "techie" to see that you are destroying the environment..

2) If you are going to misdirect the issue to "lobster hunters" then please start with Chris and Seahunt. His "brachiating" technique does wonders for the environment, and I've seen Chris using a 7' hose to destroy the "hole" so he can get to a Lobster. Ask him about the time he almost killed himself solo diving and got caught in one of those holes. We found his bag the following week filled with bugs..

3) You talk about self-responsibility, but it is you guys that are coming up with every nonsensical reason in the book to defend antiquated diving protocols that ruin the environment.

PLEASE STOP RUINING OUR ENVIRONMENT!!!!!!!
