True, this is Chris' board and he can do what he damn well pleases with it, but that's not the point. The point is that this board is one of only a few public resources we have to exchange information, views and discussions. When that resource is perceived to be unfairly manipulated to favor a few and to discriminate against others, there's bound to be complaints and hurt feelings.

I quite literally have a written statement from one of the moderator's on this board (not Chris) that says...."I've always hated that "Free and Open" line on the BBS, but now I use it for enforcement." And that's fine. In and of itself. But the problem is - at least in this moderator's case - he's saying one thing publicly, yet he's expressing opinions privately that are quite different.
