I believe that the lifeguards are aware of the upcoming event. I think that Walter has already approached them with this issue. Thanks for the heads up and maybe Walter can comment.

Paul Meister was very involved with the Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation for many years - hopefully the guy with the rubber stamp remembers him. I'll be putting up some retypes (reprints retyped for the web) of old dive magazine articles about who Paul was, what he did, etc. in the following weeks.
