We have had a Duo since 2004. We like how you can set it to a 15 or 30 fpm ascent rate warning and its fairly intuitive to use. It does tend to show greater loading levels than our Suunto (and the Veo); better to be conservative. Battery life lives up to its promise and the display is easy to read with its large numbers.

You can also set a "personal" profile to add conservatism - not a bad idea. Similar feature as with the Suunto line.

Only 2 drawbacks - 1. be careful about punching the mode buttons immediately before you jump in - we had it go into violation mode which defaults to gauge until not sure - either 24 or 48 hours (displays depth and time - no loading). 2. take it off your arm if you're bug hunting or reaching into crevices - clear plastic cover is easily scratched.

As with any computer, we use the (Navy) tables as backup for each dive as a double check and back-up to a computer failure.

Hope you like it - we do!
