Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. 10 hrs. is a long drive from Salt Lake City to LA, and if there's storm surf -- that's no fun.

When the storm surf subsides, where in LA (or, Orange) County would you suggest for shore diving for some bugs? All my bug diving to-date has been off the front-side (West End) of Catalina. I've yet to go bug diving from the mainland. Someone mentioned shore diving off of Marineland and/or Vet's?
