1. Make sure your engine has a functioning overheat alarm.
Wrapping kelp around the intakes is risk even during the day.

2. Go slow at night.

3. If you do foul drift kelp, just give the engine a quick gun
in reverse.

4. Kelp won't damage a prop -- it's way too soft. It will make
the prop not work much if it gets wrapped up.
