But that was not the reason for the question.
The fact that I have four that have liquid missing just makes me want to fix them.
I drilled a small hole and extracted out some fluid. It really smells like a petroleum ether or turpentine. It was apparent where it was leaking. There were small fractures around the fill hole. I can seep some thin Cyano glue into these hairline cracks.

I plan to do some tests by filling it with some substance using a medical hypo and plug the hole with a viscus cyano glue.

Then probably give them to needy divers.

It has nothing to do with the quality of the compass. I t is just a challenge.
