Many thanks, Patrick. We have checked out several cockpit photos and have some search locations in mind for the next dive. You're right, the left armrest is a potential. My fear is the plates were made of aluminum. Let's hope they were brass. The BuNo under the stabilizer is another hope. If the service insignia survived perhaps the number, as well.
