The heat's never on below a certain depth, in my experience, particularly around the upweling at marineland or the redondo canyon. I don't get much further south than that, not sure how pedro works.

anyway:

did the Palawan yesterday (sat) at 8am. Vis was a bit worse than average, you could not quite see across the wreck, so I'd say about 30'. It may have been due to the hour, the sun was not yet high. When I turned to go up the line I could see the boat from the line from 80 or 90 feet.

Vis at the avalon was also a bit worse than normal, again only 30' or so. Definitely do-able and worth doing. No swell, really flat.
