Diving in May in San Francisco (From South Africa)

Hi,

I am from South Africa and will be attending the JavaOne Conference from May 6-9. I will be staying in one of the Conference Hotels located around the Moscone Center.

I would love to get some dives in the weekend before/after the conference.

Any suggestions of whom I could contact to get info on casual dives? (Somewhere relatively close) Also what would the typical water temp be during May? Any other advise would also be welcome.
