Well, Rob, we know BECAUSE THE FISH IS DEAD!!!

If all you’re talking about is “did somebody eat the fish?”, maybe, maybe not. The so-called conservationist never mentions if or who ate anything. But that aside, the greatest waste is the loss of a mature, healthy, apex predator. This fish was a creature that was at the peak of its gene pool, and (at that size) a prolific breeder. This is the type of animal that has survived. It eluded predators, nets, disease, and carried the best and strongest genetic traits for the species. These are the animals that help to secure the survival of a species. These are the very creatures that should be protected, NOT targeted.

If you looked at the video, you saw the water was swarming with small dorado, tuna and other fish. If our “conservationist” spearman was so intent on feeding the po’ folks, he should have gone for the less environmentally sensitive and better tasting (my opinion) schooling fish. No, this was a bull**it macho deal. If the fish was consumed it was a small salve for an ugly, selfish event. Again, if you watch the video, toward the end, he plainly states how he’ll be telling everybody about the kill for years and years – never mentions how he “did it for the churches and orphanages.”
