These are some DIGITAL images that I shot today using a Canon SD870IS point and shoot in an underwater housing. It was difficult for me to pay attention to what I was doing because my mouth kept dropping open - an image to immediately review on an LCD was astonishing - actually, shocking. I set it in underwater mode and used the internal flash. The rest of the day was good old slide film. First I tried nudibranchs. This camera doesn't have an ultrasharp lens, but, the internal flash does fairly well with exposure. There were lots of anemones, eggs, sponges etc. to shoot. I only tried one fish, a swell shark that Ross found sleeping in a hole. OK, I did it. I shot a dive with digital. Has Ken inhaled nitrox yet? |
