If your tank has rust inside of it, it would be more detrimental to continue to breath it, then having a light tumble remove it. While any tumble will remove some of the thickness, not enough to effect the integrity, if it's a fairly new tank. I agree you should take your tank to a more reputable source of tank repair then Sport Chalet.
