I just got an Oxycheq Raider III in today. I charged up the battery and turned it on. Wow! is that sucker bright, all 250 lumens of it.
The only thing I noticed is that the beam is very narrow, I mean it's a pinpoint. It has a magnifying lens in front of the LED which focuses the beam in such a way that it almost looks like a perfect duplicate image of the actual square LED chip which is projected in detail onto the wall surface. From 15 feet away the hot spot is only about a foot in diameter and it's square.
I don't know what to think of this yet. I was imagining it to be a little more of a flood like the Raider 1.
The light temp is very blue and almost blinding when shined on a white wall.
I can't wait to get it underwater and see how it'll penetrate dark caverns and cracks. It may work well for bug diving.
