You can get DEET at up to 100%, but some people have adverse reactions to high concentrations. The higher the concentration the longer, but not necessarily the better, the protection. 3M makes a version called Utrathon that is about 35% DEET but has a timed release factor causing it to last about 12 hours which is about as long as 100% DEET would work.
