I am sure that most of the folks on the board know about the DDT and PCB that are lurking in Max's back yard, and ours for that matter. Since there was recent news about putting a cap of silt and sand on a portion of the spill I thought it was time to do some digging for a better map other than "its off of coast in Pedro"

The EPS has a map on its web site

My guess is that they are only going to re-cover the worse areas and the rest well…let the diseases bloom. The map reminds me of the blooms from other ground chemical spills - I think a movie was made about one of them.
