I met steve while teaching/working at Scubahaus.....when i first heard his nickname, Beetlejuice, Rocky, the owner, had to explain it to me...he was so full of life and love of the ocean, i was jealous....when i would fill his tanks, it was always w/ a story of his last exploits.....one of my favorite stories of his was the one where he found the doubles on farnsworth.....perhaps someone who remembers it better than i can recount it here on this board...

i can't say i was a good friend, but i was an acquaintance...i can say that steve left a memorable impression on me and the diving community isn't what it was without him....although i didn't know him well, i will miss him...he did touch my life....
