For the CDFG -
On a trip two weeks ago to the northern Channel Islands, there were foam floats just like lobster trap buoys off the east end of Santa Rosa Island, down the SE side of Santa Cruz and also between Smugglers and Scorpion and on the island edges both sides of the San Miguel Passage. Is this some new fishery or an inordinate number of uncollected lobster traps from the season recently closed?
