Slowly but surely . . .
This Challenge works best when those of you who have given (or are planning on giving) go out and contact your friends and dive partners, and ask/challenge them to give as well. It's a great example of all the good work we can do when we all band together as a diving community in support of our Chamber.
In this update, we'll lead the way with Beach Cities Scuba, once again this year joining the ranks of the Gold donors with their $1,000 pledge. At that same level, and tagging their donation in memory of Charisma Charters founder Roger Hess, are the diving duo of Ken Kurtis & Laurie Kasper. (One of those names sounds very familiar. . . ) Laurie & I feel this is a great way to honor Roger's memory and especially honor the fact that he came up with the idea of Chamber Day in the first place. (Joe Takahashi also made a donation in Roger's memory.)
So we continue. Much as we love talking about the big donations, we never lose sight of the fact that all those $100 donations really begin to add up and help us to our goal. Who’s next? Who will help push past $7,500?
