That same F & G Commission ordered this process to begin, created a Committee to study this for years and still drives this process. Two other Commissioners have a different opinion than you and there is a move on to begin to work on changing the ARMP. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are being spent on the 2006 biological assessment and in keeping this process going. Now we are up to risk-assessment and CEQA review is pending approval of the risk assessment. DFG does not actively oppose this since it gives the Department biologists work to do and data to collect and that is their job. We still need to hear from the diving community because honor dies where interest lies and Abalone are worth over $100/lb with no end to the demand. Please forward your comments to the Commission, Thank You.
