Look at this image from the study. Typically, the city picked a designer that doesn't know how a boat ramp works. How do you pull a trailer around and line it up with that ramp? they even have a planter in the way in front of the ramp right where you'll want to pull forward and straighten out, and they have traffic going in both directions above the ramp. No rinse area. Once you launch your boat, what's the traffic flow to get your rig into one of those parking spots? they even show full trailers, not empty trailers, parked. Planters in every corner to clip with your trailer. Yeah, that's all stuff that can be fixed if this went forward, but if you're gonna throw 5 figures at a plan, get someone who can do the job.

and this was the plan that won.

your tax dollars at work, paying for studies like this, while the hoist goes unserviced....
