U.S. Coast Guard officers and Los Angeles County lifeguards searched Sunday for a missing diver near El Segundo Beach.

Jeff Holly, 45, was reported missing at about 10 a.m. about three miles north of the Manhattan Beach Pier. A friend said he was wearing a black diving suit, black fins and a black scuba tank.

The Coast Guard sent a helicopter crew from Point Mugu, and a 45-foot boat from Los Angeles. The county Fire Department sent crews on the ground and in the air to search.

Anyone with information about Holly’s whereabouts was asked to call the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach operations center at 310-521-3801.
