I have a question for you.
I've been diving for a long time and I've a lot of artificial reefs that were accidental and intentional. They work fine. According to Wheeler J North (and he would know) the amount of life in an area is based on the .... microtopographical variation... Basically, how many places the fish and other sea life have to hide.
Sew... I've always wondered what people would think of glass bottles being dropped in the oceans (probably over sand). They would be smaller than many artificial reefs, but they would do the same thing, provide substrate and protection. Glass is completely inert. They wouldn't even have to be well cleaned though it would be best if they didn't have labels.
What do you think? It would create habitat...
