A lot of people come to your beautiful Southern California dive sites and they know nothing about the local facilities. In the event that they are visiting, and they have an episode which they deem to possibly warrant hyperbaric treatment, the smartest thing for them to do is simply to call DAN at 1-919-684-4326.

DAN will direct them to a ER facility, and the ER facility upon conferring with the DAN representative will take the appropriate action, whether that involves bedrest and O2 administration on the one hand or else activation of the recompression chamber on the other.

Any certified divemaster or instructor is normally going to tell you to do the same thing.

Undertrained divers who are not divemasters nor instructors but who like to play divemasters on the internet can give all sorts of confusing advice. That is not name calling. That is simply warning divers about whom not to listen to.
