That is the idea, less nitrogen for a given depth and time. That is the safety factor, and a popular way of using it. Less fatigue, maybe a factor of less nitrogen, or more oxygen, who knows. The fact is on a given dive, less nitrogen is absorbed than if the same dive was made on air. Its worth a few extra dollars to not get all the nitrogen, especially if you are doing a number of repetitive dives.
