Would anyone get a brain operation at hospital
whose doctors shift from Brain Surgery Dept. to
the Fishing Supplies & Tents Dept. or maybe the
Athletic Shoes dept depending on who showed up
for work that day.
At least sports chalet has some name brands. That
in house stuff from Divers Discount is garbage. Not
all 5mm wetsuits are created equal just because
they are made outta 5 mm. Ditto for regs and
gear bags and hoods and gloves, etc. etc.
I dive hard and often. When I am not, I am teaching
and have my own rental room to maintain. I have
seen how this "discount" equipment falls apart
when the name brand counterparts look brand new.
And as for discounted training, 'nuf said.
