jim, i don't want to get into a personal debate over
john walker, and i'm sure you are correct in everything
you say about him, but all of his experiences do
not excuse his past rude behavior (i don't think
he repeated his unbecoming behavior in this last
thread, so there seems to be progress). no matter
how much experience one has and no matter how well
one is 'doing it right', calling someone a 'cunt'
in public is just downright inexcusable--especially
when that same person does not apologize for it
afterward.
insulting people does NOT get one's message across
effectively, no matter how "good" a teacher and
diver a person is.
i'm not slamming john walker, but i wanted to point
out why some here don't necessarily respect the guy
all too much based on his own previous words...and
that's a shame if what you say about him is true...

the point of diving, i thought, was to have fun--not
show off to others and make them "pucker all over".
